The Yale YPL Pull Cylinder range is designed for professional pulling and tensioning applications where high force, precision control and rugged durability are essential. Pull cylinders generate exceptionally high pulling forces by drawing forged links together as hydraulic pressure is applied. In their neutral position, YPL cylinders are fully extended, and a built-in return spring automatically retracts the piston when pressure is released.

Manufactured with Yale?s trusted Chro-Mo Design, YPL pull cylinders are made from solid chromium-molybdenum steel and heat-treated for superior strength and long service life. The piston is hard chromium-plated to resist corrosion and mechanical wear, while the replaceable heat-treated saddle ensures reliable performance under heavy loads.

Operating at a maximum pressure of 700 bar, YPL pull cylinders cover capacities from 10 tonnes up to 51 tonnes. These cylinders are commonly used in shipbuilding, heavy-vessel construction, steel fabrication, civil engineering and general repair and maintenance work. They are especially useful where precise pulling control is required, such as aligning components, tensioning systems or extracting press-fitted parts.

The YPL series features forged, replaceable links, ensuring secure attachment points and simplified maintenance. A high-strength stop ring is rated to full load at maximum operating pressure, preventing over-stroking and improving safety. A dirt wiper protects internal components from contamination, making the cylinders suitable for demanding industrial environments.

YPL pull cylinders can be operated in all positions and include a carrying handle and piston protection cover for improved handling and durability. Each cylinder is supplied ready to use with a female coupler half CFY-1 and oil port thread 3/8 NPT for compatibility with Yale hydraulic pumps and power packs.

The special YPPS-10/150 model includes an integrated hand pump similar to the HPS-2/0,7 A, providing a compact, self-contained pulling solution that is ideal for field operations and remote sites.
