The Yale YH Double-Acting Universal Hydraulic Cylinder range is engineered for the most demanding lifting, positioning and production applications. Designed for heavy-duty industrial use, these cylinders provide both high pushing and pulling forces with rapid hydraulic return, making them ideal for high-cycle operations and continuous production environments.

Built to Yale?s renowned Chro-Mo Design, YH cylinders are manufactured from solid chromium-molybdenum steel and heat-treated for maximum strength, durability and long service life. The robust construction includes long bronze piston guidings, ensuring stable operation and excellent resistance to side loading and misalignment.

Operating at a maximum pressure of 700 bar, the YH series covers a broad capacity range from 5 tonnes to 200 tonnes, with piston strokes from 30 mm up to 500 mm. These cylinders are widely used in demanding industries such as bridge construction, civil engineering, offshore and shipbuilding, where reliable lifting and pulling forces are required.

The double-acting design provides hydraulic return, delivering fast piston retraction and improved cycle times compared with spring-return models. This makes the YH series particularly suitable for high-frequency applications such as frame presses, stamping fixtures, heavy assembly and production lines.

The hard chromium-plated piston offers excellent corrosion and wear resistance, while the replaceable heat-treated saddle allows for easy maintenance and extended service life. For enhanced safety, the stop ring is rated to full capacity and is fitted with a dirt wiper to protect internal components from contamination. The cylinder also features a dirt wiper to prevent debris ingress, ensuring consistent performance in harsh working environments.

Yale YH cylinders feature metric mounting threads on the cylinder housing, in the bottom of the cylinder body and in the piston rod, enabling easy integration into jigs, fixtures and custom installations. Each cylinder is supplied ready to use with two female coupler halves CFY-1, supporting double-acting operation and ensuring fast setup on site.

Handling and transport are made easier with carrying handles from YH-30/200 and two lifting rings from YH-50/350, ensuring safe positioning and movement of heavier models.
