Description

The Yale VPR pressure relief valve is a high-precision hydraulic safety component designed to limit and stabilise system pressure in high-pressure hydraulic circuits up to 700 bar. It ensures that the force generated by the connected hydraulic cylinder never exceeds a predefined safe value.

Once the preset pressure level is reached, the valve opens automatically and diverts excess hydraulic oil back to the reservoir, maintaining a pressureless return path and preventing overload of the hydraulic system.

Thanks to its precise adjustment capability and excellent repeat accuracy, the VPR relief valve is ideal for applications where reliable and repeatable pressure limitation is critical, such as lifting, pressing and testing operations.

Function and operating principle
The VPR pressure relief valve is installed in the pressure line of a hydraulic circuit or power pack. The maximum allowable system pressure is set manually via the adjustment mechanism.
As pressure builds, the valve remains closed

Excess oil is routed directly back to the reservoir
