Description
The Yale PYB Electric Power Pack represents a new generation of cordless hydraulic power units, designed to replace traditional hand pumps in high-pressure hydraulic applications. Compact, lightweight and extremely powerful, the PYB delivers up to 700 bar operating pressure while giving the user complete freedom from external power sources.
Powered by a standard HiKOKI Li-ion battery, the PYB enables efficient, one-handed operation in confined or remote working environments. It significantly reduces operator fatigue while increasing productivity compared with conventional hand pumps?especially when repeatedly lifting, spreading or clamping loads.
Both PYB models feature a two-stage hydraulic output with automatic changeover. The low-pressure stage provides fast piston travel under no load, while the high-pressure stage delivers controlled force under load. The transition between stages is fully automatic, ensuring smooth and efficient operation at all times.
Precision control is provided by a fine-adjustment relief valve operated via a hand lever, allowing millimetre-accurate lifting and lowering?even when controlling loads of several hundred tonnes. Two internal pressure relief valves protect both the system and connected components, with the high-pressure stage limited to 700 bar to prevent over-pressurisation.
The PYB?s robust aluminium die-cast housing keeps weight to a minimum while offering excellent protection. Unlike plastic reservoirs, the aluminium oil reservoir reduces fire risk when working near welding or hot processes. A rubber tank bladder allows the pump to be operated in any position, ensuring full use of the oil volume regardless of orientation.
A protective metal cover prevents accidental activation, and a shoulder belt can be attached to the integrated lifting eyes for easy transport. The pump is supplied oil-filled and ready for use, complete with a female hydraulic coupler CFY-1, making it fully compatible with all 700 bar Yale hydraulic systems.
The PYB is ideal for use with small to medium single-acting cylinders, hydraulic spreaders, lifting wedges, nut splitters and other compact high-pressure hydraulic tools. Battery and charger are deliberately supplied separately, allowing customers to source additional HiKOKI components locally or configure their setup as required.
