Description

The Yale LMG LITTLE MULE? Cable Grip is engineered for professional use where secure grip, controlled pulling and safe tensioning of wire ropes and cables are essential. Designed to handle uncoated wire ropes, cables and metal rods, the LMG range provides dependable performance across a wide range of industrial environments.

With pulling force capacities from 2000 daN to 5000 daN, the LMG cable grip is suitable for applications such as cable installation, line pulling, tensioning operations, structural work and general rigging tasks. It can be used on materials with tensile strengths of up to 1770 N/mmý, depending on the rope diameter and surface condition.

A key feature of the LITTLE MULE? design is the parallel jaw mechanism, which delivers a firm, non-slip grip without damaging the wire rope. This ensures reliable load transfer while protecting the integrity of the cable, making the LMG grip ideal for repeated use in demanding conditions.

The grip incorporates a spring-loaded guide that prevents accidental disengagement from the wire rope. This safety feature also enables instant release without jamming, improving ease of use and reducing downtime during rigging operations.

The LMG II-X variant is supplied with specially grooved jaws and is designed for higher-strength wire ropes with tensile strengths of up to 1960 N/mmý, subject to rope diameter and surface condition. This makes it particularly suitable for high-performance wire ropes used in specialist lifting and tensioning applications.

Manufactured from high-quality steel components, the LMG cable grip offers excellent durability and resistance to wear. Its compact design and integrated eye allow easy connection to pulling devices, hoists, winches or anchorage points using shackles or hooks.

Multiple models are available to suit a broad range of rope diameters, from fine cables to heavy-duty wire ropes up to 32mm in diameter. This flexibility ensures the correct grip can be selected for the specific application, maximising safety and performance.

As with all Yale lifting and pulling accessories, the LMG cable grip reflects Yale?s commitment to quality, reliability and safe operation in professional environments.

Safety / User Instructions
Always ensure the cable grip pulling force meets or exceeds the intended load.
Confirm the wire rope diameter and condition are suitable for the selected model.
Do not exceed the stated Working Load Limit (WLL).
Ensure the grip is correctly positioned and fully engaged before applying load.
