Description
The Yale Yaletrac Aluminium Cable Puller is engineered for demanding environments where reliability, ease of handling and operational safety are essential. Designed for use across construction, civil engineering, utilities, shipbuilding, infrastructure maintenance and industrial installation work, the Yaletrac provides efficient load control without the need for powered equipment.
Available in three pulling force ratings ? 800 daN, 1600 daN and 3200 daN ? the Yaletrac is suitable for a wide range of pulling, lifting, lowering and tensioning tasks. Its compact design and low operating effort make it particularly effective for mobile use, site work and confined or remote locations.
The unit features a high-tensile aluminium alloy housing that offers exceptional strength while keeping overall weight to a minimum. The large flat base provides excellent stability in both horizontal and vertical working positions, improving safety and control during operation.
Forward and reversing levers arranged in tandem ensure a slim profile and optimal power transmission along the centre line of the unit. This design maximises efficiency while maintaining smooth, predictable operation under load. Hand forces are kept manageable even at maximum Working Load Limit (WLL), reducing operator fatigue during repetitive tasks.
Overload protection is provided by a shear pin integrated into the forward lever, safeguarding both the operator and the equipment. Spare shear pins are conveniently stored in the carrying handle or operating lever, and a broken pin can be replaced quickly without removing the load, minimising downtime.
The Yaletrac uses a specially designed flexible steel wire rope with six strands and a steel core, identified by an orange strand for easy recognition. One end of the rope is tapered for smooth threading through the unit, while the other is fitted with an eye sling hook with safety latch for fast and secure load attachment.
A parallel rope clamping system distributes gripping forces evenly across the rope, reducing wear and extending service life. A long rope advance per lever stroke increases working speed, improving efficiency on site. A dedicated lever disengages the rope clamp system, allowing easy and smooth rope installation.
Maintenance is simple and minimal. A large opening in the top of the housing allows the unit to be flushed with water and lightly lubricated, quickly restoring it to full working condition even after use in dirty or harsh environments.
Safety / User Instructions
Always ensure the cable puller capacity meets or exceeds the intended load.
Do not exceed the stated Working Load Limit (WLL).
Inspect the rope, hooks, shear pin and housing before each use.
Replace damaged or worn components immediately.
Ensure loads are securely attached and correctly aligned before operation.
Yale cable pullers must not be used for passenger lifting.
Use only in accordance with UK lifting regulations and by trained personnel.
