Description
The Yale Mtrac Endless Winch combines state-of-the-art industrial design with proven Yale lifting technology to deliver a safe, flexible, and highly mobile handling solution. Unlike conventional drum winches, the endless rope system does not store the rope during operation, meaning there is no limit to lifting height or pulling distance. This makes the Mtrac ideal for applications requiring long travel lengths, frequent lifting cycles, or changing working heights.
Designed as a ready-to-use plug-and-play unit, every Yale Mtrac winch leaves the factory fully assembled, complete with control pendant, power cable, wire rope, safety hook, carrying handle, and mounting feet. The winch housing is manufactured from low-pressure die-cast aluminium, with high-strength, glass-fibre reinforced plastic covers for reduced weight and excellent rigidity.
At the heart of the Mtrac is the patented bi-directional actuator (German Patent DE 10 2012 100 099). This innovative system safely guides and grips the rope, allowing the rated load to be moved on either end of the rope. When fitted with an optional second hook, the winch can operate in bi-directional lifting mode, eliminating no-load travel and doubling lifting frequency by alternately loading both rope falls.
The Mtrac is suitable for vertical, angled, or horizontal use, and its load capacity can be doubled using optional two-fall reeving components. The hardened steel drive sheave, oil-bath lubricated gearbox with helical gearing, and IP55-rated motor ensure smooth, reliable operation and long service life in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Safety is a core feature of the Yale Mtrac. The winch is equipped with 42 V low-voltage control, electromagnetic brake for secure load holding in power failure, externally positioned slip clutch for overload protection, and adjustable upper and lower limit switches. Limit switch positions can be easily set by repositioning the spring buffers on the wire rope, allowing precise control for each application.
Ergonomics and serviceability are also prioritised. A comfortable carrying handle allows one-person transport, while an optional carrying frame enables safe two-person handling and additional protection in harsh conditions. Modular construction ensures fast access to critical components, simplifying inspection, adjustment, and maintenance.
