The Pewag Winner Profilift PLKW Kappa Weld-On Lifting Point is a premium-grade lifting solution engineered for permanent installation on heavy loads, machinery and steel fabrications. Designed to meet the demands of modern industrial lifting, the PLKW provides a robust, reliable and certified lifting attachment point for use with chains, hooks, shackles and other approved lifting equipment.

Manufactured by Pewag to exacting standards, the PLKW Kappa lifting point is intended to be welded directly onto the load, ensuring a fixed, tamper-proof lifting connection with excellent load transfer into the base material. The lifting ring is 180° foldable, allowing it to be aligned precisely with the expected direction of pull before loading. This design reduces bending stresses, improves handling safety and ensures correct load application during lifting operations.

The PLKW range covers working load limits from 4 tonnes up to 32.5 tonnes, making it suitable for a wide variety of heavy-duty lifting tasks in sectors such as steel fabrication, mechanical engineering, plant manufacture, transport equipment, energy and infrastructure projects. Turning of loads is permitted, although continuous rotation under load is not allowed, ensuring controlled and predictable lifting behaviour.

With a minimum safety factor of 4, the Pewag PLKW Kappa lifting point offers excellent structural integrity and long service life when installed and used correctly. Each lifting point is clearly marked with its load rating, manufacturer identification and batch number for full traceability and compliance with inspection requirements.

In addition to lifting, the PLKW Kappa may also be used as a lashing point, subject to specific restrictions. Once used for lashing, however, it must not be reused for lifting, ensuring operational safety and regulatory compliance. The lifting point is designed for symmetrical loading conditions and must always be used within the permitted load directions shown in the manufacturer’s instructions.

The PLKW Kappa is suitable for operation in ambient temperatures between -20 °C and +200 °C for long-term use. Where higher temperatures are encountered, appropriate load reduction factors must be applied. The product is not intended for highly corrosive environments or chemical exposure unless approved by Pewag technical services.

Correct welding is critical to the safe performance of the lifting point. Installation must only be carried out by qualified welders using approved procedures and filler materials. Once welded, the lifting point becomes a permanent part of the structure and must not be removed or reused.

Always align the lifting ring with the direction of pull before loading.
Do not exceed the stated working load limit.
Continuous rotation under load is not permitted.
Do not use for lifting persons.
Inspect before each use and at least annually by a competent person.
Remove from service immediately if cracks, deformation, excessive wear or illegible markings are detected.
Do not use in corrosive or chemical environments without manufacturer approval.
