The Pewag Winner Profilift PLBW Beta UNC Thread Lifting Point is a heavy-duty swivel lifting eye designed for applications requiring imperial (UNC) threaded connections, while delivering exceptional safety, flexibility and load performance. Engineered to Pewags exacting quality standards, the PLBW Beta is ideal for complex lifting operations where load direction, inclination and configuration can vary.
This lifting point features a 360° rotatable body, allowing free rotation around the screw axis for optimum load alignment. The load ring is movable through a full 180° working range, enabling precise positioning in line with the direction of pull. A replaceable and patented spring mechanism ensures the ring remains securely positioned prior to loading, significantly reducing the risk of side loading, bending stress and thread damage.
In permitted applications, the PLBW Beta offers an enhanced five-fold safety factor, providing a higher margin of safety than standard lifting points. Each lifting point is clearly marked with the admissible load capacity for the most unfavourable application mode, allowing increased load capacity to be utilised during vertical lifting. This makes the PLBW Beta particularly well suited to applications involving angled lifts, multi-leg slings or asymmetric loading.
The interchangeable hexagonal special screw is manufactured from high-strength grade 10.9 steel, fully 100% crack tested, and secured against loss. A chromate VI-free corrosion protection coating provides excellent durability while complying with modern environmental and workplace safety standards. Each lifting point carries an individual serial number, ensuring full traceability and compliance with lifting and inspection regulations.
The PLBW Beta UNC version is available with UNC thread sizes from 5/16″ to 1 1/2″, covering a wide range of working load limits depending on size, number of legs and angle of inclination. Comprehensive load capacity tables form an integral part of the operating manual supplied with every unit, ensuring users can safely select the correct lifting configuration.
For improved inspection management, asset tracking and documentation control, the PLBW Beta can also be supplied with the optional peTAG digital identification system, allowing instant access to product data, inspection records and operating information via smartphone or computer.
