Description
The Pewag winner profilift Lifting Eyebolt PLGW Gamma UNC Thread is a high-performance swivel lifting point engineered for applications requiring imperial (UNC) threaded connections without compromising on safety, usability or durability. Developed and manufactured to the latest international standards, the PLGW Gamma is widely recognised as one of the most advanced lifting eyebolts available for frequent mounting and demounting operations.
At the heart of the design is a fully 360° rotatable lifting eye, allowing the eyebolt to automatically align itself with the direction of pull. This reduces unwanted side loading, minimises stress on the thread, and significantly improves operational safety. Installation is quick and intuitive: the PLGW Gamma is simply tightened by hand, then aligned prior to loadingmaking it particularly well suited to maintenance, fabrication, tooling, and production environments where efficiency and repeatability are essential.
Each PLGW Gamma lifting eyebolt is supplied with an interchangeable special screw manufactured from high-grade steel and 100% crack-tested to ensure maximum reliability. The eyebolt and screw are clearly marked with the thread size and working load limit, while a chrome VI-free corrosion-resistant coating provides long-term protection in industrial and outdoor environments. An integrated protective sleeve shields the load surface, helping to prevent damage to painted, machined or finished components during lifting.
The PLGW Gamma UNC range is available in thread sizes from 3/8″ to 1 3/4″, covering working load limits from 1,100 lbs up to 19,800 lbs, depending on size, lifting method, number of legs and angle of inclination. In permitted lifting directions, the design withstands a four-fold safety factor against break in all directions, delivering a high margin of safety even in complex or asymmetric lifting scenarios.
Traceability and inspection compliance are built into every detail. All load-bearing components, including the eye and screw, are marked with batch numbers and a unique serial number, making inspection records, maintenance planning and regulatory compliance straightforward. In addition to standard thread lengths, Pewag also offers maximum and cut-to-length thread options, supplied with washer and nut, allowing precise adaptation to specific installation requirements. The PLGW Gamma can also be supplied with optional peTAG digital identification, enabling digital inspection management and asset tracking.
For users seeking a simplified alternative, the PLGW Gamma is also available in a Basic version, which offers identical dimensions, load capacities and applications, differing only in assembly method. This flexibility ensures there is a suitable PLGW solution for both temporary and more permanent lifting installations.
Safety & User Instructions
Always align the lifting eyebolt in the direction of pull before applying load.
Refer to the Pewag load capacity tables for permitted lifting directions, angles and configurations.
Do not use if the direction of pull is obstructed or outside the permitted range.
Ensure the lifting eye does not rest against sharp edges or the load itself.
Do not use extensions or additional tools during assembly.
Never exceed the stated Working Load Limit (WLL).
Inspect the lifting eyebolt regularly and remove from service if damage, wear or deformation is found.
Always follow the instructions in the official operating manual.
