Description
The Pewag Grade 10 Four Leg Chain Sling is engineered for lifting large, heavy and irregular loads where maximum stability and multiple lifting points are required. Manufactured using Pewags premium Grade 10 alloy steel chain, this sling complies with EN 818-2 and EN 818-4 while delivering a 25% higher working load limit compared to Grade 8 slings.
Four leg chain slings are commonly used for box-shaped loads, frames and large fabrications, providing excellent load control and reduced movement during lifting. In accordance with industry standards, only two legs are considered load-bearing, with the remaining legs contributing to stability and load positioning.
The Grade 10 material provides a minimum breaking stress of 1,000 N/mm², allowing higher lifting capacities with smaller chain diameters. This results in lighter slings, easier handling and reduced operator fatigue without compromising safety.
Each four leg chain sling is finished with a high-visibility orange powder coating for instant grade identification and enhanced site safety. A Pewag oval identification tag is fitted as standard, displaying the working load limit, chain size, grade, traceability data and compliance information.
The sling can be configured with a wide range of load hooks, including sling hooks with latch, self-locking safety hooks, or C hooks. Shortening grab hooks can be fitted to one or more legs to allow quick length adjustment, making the sling suitable for uneven or asymmetrical loads.
All Pewag Grade 10 four leg chain slings are manufactured to order, supplied with a Declaration of Conformity and safe use instructions, and are fully compliant with LOLER regulations.
