Description
The Pewag Grade 10 Three Leg Chain Sling is designed for lifting large, complex or irregularly shaped loads where multiple lifting points are required to maintain stability and control. Manufactured from Pewags premium Grade 10 alloy steel chain, this sling meets EN 818-2 and EN 818-4 requirements while offering a 25% higher working load limit than equivalent Grade 8 slings.
The three leg configuration allows the load to be supported from three lifting points, helping to minimise rotation and improve load distribution during lifting operations. When used correctly, two legs are considered load-bearing in accordance with standards, while the third leg provides additional stability and positioning control.
Grade 10 chain delivers a minimum breaking stress of 1,000 N/mm², enabling higher lifting capacities with reduced chain weight. This makes Pewag Grade 10 slings easier to handle, quicker to rig and less physically demanding for operators, particularly on repetitive lifts.
Each three leg chain sling is supplied with high-visibility orange powder-coated chain, ensuring instant grade recognition and improved site safety. The sling is fitted with a Pewag oval ID tag, clearly displaying chain grade, diameter, working load limit, traceability code and compliance data.
Pewag Grade 10 three leg slings can be specified with a choice of sling hooks with latch, self-locking safety hooks or C hooks, and can be supplied with shortening grab hooks on one or more legs. This allows for precise adjustment of leg length, making the sling suitable for asymmetric or uneven loads.
All slings are manufactured to order with the required effective working length and are supplied complete with a Declaration of Conformity and safe use instructions, ensuring compliance with LOLER and industry best practice.
