Description
The Pewag Winner Profilift PLEW Eta Weld-On Lifting Point is a heavy-duty, permanently installed lifting solution engineered for demanding industrial environments. Designed for welding directly onto machine components, steel fabrications or vehicle bodies, the PLEW Eta delivers exceptional strength, reliability and ease of use where bolted lifting points are not suitable.
Manufactured from high-tensile steel, the PLEW Eta offers higher rated load capacities than the standard Pewag PLE/N series and allows increased loading in the preferred load direction, as specified in the operating manual. This makes it particularly suitable for applications involving frequent lifting, repositioning or lashing of heavy loads.
A key feature of the PLEW Eta is its integrated spring mechanism, which helps keep the lifting ring in the desired position during welding, handling and rigging. This improves usability and safety by preventing uncontrolled movement of the ring when attaching lifting or lashing equipment. For larger sizes, the spring assists primarily during the weld-on process, ensuring accurate positioning before final installation.
The weld-on bracket incorporates clearly defined grooves at 45° and 60°, allowing quick visual identification of the permitted inclination angles. This reduces the risk of incorrect loading and supports safe use in multi-leg sling configurations or angled lifts.
Each Pewag PLEW Eta lifting point is supplied individually packaged, complete with a user manual and detailed welding instructions. Welding must be carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14341, and only by a qualified welding operator certified to EN ISO 9606-1, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
The PLEW Eta range supports single-leg, multi-leg and asymmetric lifting, with working load limits clearly defined for each lifting configuration. Load capacities range from 1.5 tonnes up to 19 tonnes, depending on size and direction of pull. Comprehensive load tables are provided to ensure correct application across all lifting scenarios.
Each lifting point features an individual serial number, enabling full traceability, inspection logging and lifecycle management. Optional peTAG identification is available on request for enhanced asset tracking and digital inspection systems.

Safety & User Instructions
Welding must only be carried out by a qualified welder certified to EN ISO 9606-1.
Follow all supplied welding instructions in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14341.
Ensure the lifting point is welded onto a suitable load-bearing structure.
Always observe the permitted directions of pull and inclination angles.
Do not allow the lifting ring to rest against sharp edges or the load itself.
Never exceed the stated working load limits for the lifting configuration used.
Inspect the lifting point regularly for cracks, deformation or weld defects.
