The RUD VRS-G STARPOINT Rotating Lifting Ring is a premium lifting point engineered for use with ISO 228-1 pipe threads, delivering exceptional safety, flexibility, and load capacity in professional lifting and handling environments. Manufactured by RUD, a world-leading specialist in lifting technology, the VRS-G STARPOINT provides a significantly higher level of performance compared with traditional eye bolts and fixed lifting points.
Featuring a 360� rotatable lifting ring, the VRS-G STARPOINT automatically aligns with the applied load, minimising transverse forces and reducing stress on both the lifting point and the connected structure. This self-aligning design ensures safer lifting operations and allows the full Working Load Limit (WLL) to be applied in all loading directions, including angular and side loading scenarios. The stated WLL always represents the minimum guaranteed capacity in the worst-case loading condition.
The VRS-G STARPOINT is manufactured from high-strength, patented RUD steel and fitted with an integrated lifting ring that remains fully rotatable even after tightening. The robust design provides increased resistance to wear, higher bending strength, and reliable performance in demanding industrial environments, including low-temperature applications.
Designed specifically for pipe thread connections to ISO 228-1, the VRS-G variant is ideal for lifting from components such as hydraulic systems, pressure vessels, pipework assemblies, pumps, and industrial equipment with threaded ports. A comprehensive range of thread sizes is available, from G 3/8″ up to G 2″, covering Working Load Limits from 0.3 tonnes up to 2.3 tonnes, depending on size.
Installation is quick, simple, and secure using a star profile key, ensuring the correct tightening torque is applied and reducing the risk of incorrect installation. Once installed, the lifting ring can be freely rotated through 360�, allowing effortless alignment with hooks, shackles, or slings without compromising safety.
All RUD VRS-G STARPOINT lifting points are tested and certified by DGUV, in accordance with GS-OA-15-04:2015-12, providing full compliance, traceability, and confidence for use in regulated lifting environments.
