The RUD VRS-STARPOINT VARIO Ring Bolt (VRS-F) is an advanced lifting point engineered for professional lifting, handling, and rigging operations where safety, flexibility, and load capacity are critical. Designed and manufactured by RUD, a global leader in lifting and lashing technology, the VRS-STARPOINT significantly outperforms traditional eye bolts conforming to DIN 580, offering much higher Working Load Limits across all loading directions.
At the core of the VRS-F STARPOINT is its 360� rotatable ring, which automatically aligns itself in the direction of the applied load. This reduces dangerous bending forces, improves load distribution, and ensures the stated WLL corresponds to the minimum guaranteed capacity in the worst-case loading scenario. Unlike conventional eye bolts, the VRS-STARPOINT maintains safe load ratings even under angular or multi-directional loading.
The lifting point is fitted with a non-detachable ICE-Bolt, manufactured from RUD�s patented high-strength steel. Available in sizes from M10 up to M30, the ICE-Bolt design eliminates the risk of using unsuitable or low-grade standard bolts. The special bolt material provides higher toughness, improved bending strength, reduced wear, and safe performance in low-temperature environments, making it suitable for demanding industrial and outdoor applications.
The VARIO version (VRS-F) offers variable bolt lengths, allowing the lifting point to be safely installed in both threaded blind holes and through holes. This versatility makes the VRS-STARPOINT ideal for use on machinery, tools, moulds, steel structures, plant equipment, and heavy fabricated components.
Installation and removal are fast and simple using the RUD star profile key, ensuring the correct tightening torque is applied every time. The lifting ring can be freely rotated through 360� after installation, allowing easy alignment with slings, hooks, or shackles without compromising safety.
