Description

The Yale VHM throttle and shut-off valve range provides precise hydraulic flow control and secure line isolation in high-pressure hydraulic systems operating up to 700 bar. These compact, robust valves are particularly suited to multi-cylinder installations, where controlled oil distribution and safe shut-off are essential for stable and synchronised lifting operations.

Whether used to isolate individual hydraulic lines or to finely regulate oil flow, the VHM series delivers dependable performance in demanding industrial environments. The valves are engineered to support safe load handling, reduce system instability and improve overall control during lifting, lowering and positioning tasks.

Function and operating principle
The VHM valves are installed directly into hydraulic lines and perform two key functions:
Shut-off of hydraulic flow to isolate individual cylinders or sections of a hydraulic circuit
Throttling of oil flow (VHM-1-E) to control cylinder speed, particularly during lifting and lowering operations

The VHM-1-E needle valve allows the operator to precisely restrict oil flow, making it ideal for applications requiring smooth, controlled piston movement and minimised shock loading. This is especially beneficial in lifting and jacking systems where load stability and accuracy are critical.

The VHM-2 shut-off valve is designed primarily for on/off isolation, enabling safe disconnection, maintenance or controlled operation of multiple hydraulic cylinders within a shared system.
