Description
The Pewag Winner Profilift AOR Boltable Lifting Eye is a high-strength, Grade 8 lifting point designed for the safe attachment of loads and components using chains, slings or other approved lifting equipment. Bolted directly into the load, the AOR lifting eye provides a reliable and reusable anchorage solution for lifting and transport operations across industrial environments.
The AOR lifting eye is intended for installation into steel, aluminium or non-ferrous component constructions and is designed to transfer lifting forces safely and efficiently into the base material. When correctly installed, it allows secure lifting, positioning and occasional turning or rotating of loads. Continuous or permanent rotation under load is not permitted.
Each Pewag AOR lifting eye is CE marked, type tested and manufactured in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, ensuring full compliance with European lifting regulations. The lifting eyes feature a minimum safety factor of 4:1 based on the stated working load limit (WLL).
The product is clearly marked with its nominal working load limit (WLL) in tonnes or corresponding chain size. This marking applies exclusively to the lifting point itself and does not represent the total load capacity of the lifting assembly or sling system used.
The AOR lifting eye must be installed using suitable high-strength bolts (Grade 10.9) and tightened to the specified torque values. Correct installation requires the lifting eye to sit flush against the load surface, with adequate thread engagement based on the base material. Only original Pewag bolts and spare parts may be used to ensure compliance and safety.
The lifting eye must be positioned above the centre of gravity of the load, with the force applied in the longitudinal direction of the eye. The attachment point in the load must be capable of absorbing the applied forces without deformation.
The Pewag AOR lifting eye is suitable for use within a defined temperature range, with load capacity reductions required at elevated temperatures. It must not be used in chemically aggressive environments without prior consultation with Pewag.
Safety & User Instructions
Only trained and authorised personnel may install or use the lifting eye.
Do not exceed the stated working load limit.
Never modify the lifting eye (no welding, bending or machining).
Do not stand beneath suspended loads.
Ensure the lifting eye is mounted above the loads centre of gravity.
The load attachment point must be strong enough to absorb lifting forces without deformation.
Do not force the lifting eye into position.
Avoid swinging or shock loading.
Inspect before each use for deformation, cracks, corrosion or wear.
Remove from service immediately if damage or illegible markings are detected.
Installation Notes
The mounting surface must be flat, clean and dry.
Threaded holes must be perpendicular to the mounting surface.
Minimum thread engagement depth:
Steel: 1 × bolt diameter
Cast iron: 1.25 × bolt diameter
Aluminium: 2 × bolt diameter
Aluminium-magnesium alloys: 2.5 × bolt diameter
Tighten bolts to the specified torque values.
If left permanently installed, use suitable thread-locking compound.
For through-bolting, the nut must be secured against loosening.
Temperature Rating
Temperature Range Remaining Load Capacity
-20°C to +100°C 100%
+100°C to +200°C 85%
+200°C to +250°C 80%
+250°C to +300°C 75%
Inspection & Maintenance
Carry out regular visual inspections.
A documented inspection must be performed at least annually, more frequently under heavy use.
Crack testing must be performed at least every 3 years.
Remove from service immediately if deformation, cracking, corrosion, excessive wear (>10%), restricted movement or faulty bolts are detected.
Only original Pewag spare parts and bolts may be used.
Storage
Store dry between 0°C and +40°C.
Protect against corrosion during storage and transport.
Installed lifting eyes should be secured using standard thread-locking products.
