Yale YBA-L Spring Balancers are the extended-reach version of the YBA safety series, offering increased vertical travel while maintaining the same advanced rope-break protection. These balancers are designed for environments where both greater working height and enhanced safety are required.

Like the standard YBA models, YBA-L balancers automatically lock the rope in the event of rope breakage, hook failure or accidental load release. This prevents uncontrolled retraction and eliminates the risk of rope whipping, protecting operators and nearby personnel.

Manufactured in accordance with DIN 15112, the balancer features a high-tensile aluminium die-cast housing and a tapered rope drum that ensures consistent counterbalance throughout the working range. The extended rope length allows tools to be positioned over a larger vertical area without increasing operator effort.

A separate enclosed spring assembly on models above 5kg improves safety during maintenance. Manual drum locking allows easy load changes, and wire rope replacement can be carried out without disassembling the unit. Nylon rope guides reduce wear and extend service life, while suspension eyes enable the use of secondary safety chains.

YBA-L spring balancers are ideal for welding stations, heavy assembly lines and production areas where extended reach and maximum safety are essential.
