Description
The Pewag Winner Profilift PLBW Beta Metric Thread Lifting Point is a premium swivel lifting eye designed for demanding lifting operations where maximum flexibility, enhanced safety and high load capacity are required. As part of the Pewag Profilift range, the PLBW Beta is engineered to deliver outstanding performance in both vertical and multi-directional lifting scenarios.
This lifting point features a 360° rotatable body, allowing unrestricted rotation around the thread axis. The load ring is movable through a full 180° working range, enabling precise alignment with the direction of pull. A replaceable and patented spring mechanism holds the ring securely in the desired position prior to loading, helping to minimise side loading, uneven stress and thread damage during lifting operations.
In permitted applications, the PLBW Beta offers an impressive five-fold safety factor, exceeding standard safety expectations for lifting points. Each unit is clearly marked with the admissible load capacity for the most unfavourable application mode, allowing users to safely benefit from increased load capacities when lifting vertically. This makes the PLBW Beta particularly suitable for applications involving varying lift angles and complex rigging configurations.
The interchangeable hexagonal special screw is manufactured from high-strength grade 10.9 steel, fully 100% crack tested, and secured against loss. A chromate VI-free corrosion protection coating ensures long-term durability while meeting environmental and workplace safety standards. Each lifting point is supplied with an individual serial number, providing full traceability and compliance with lifting regulations.
The PLBW Beta is available with metric threads from M8 to M48, covering working load limits from 300 kg up to 15,000 kg, depending on size and lifting configuration. In addition to standard and maximum thread lengths, customised cut-to-length threads can be supplied to suit specific applications. Customised and maximum thread lengths are provided with a washer and screw nut for secure installation.
Comprehensive load capacity tables, covering method of lifting, number of legs and angle of inclination, form an integral part of the operating manual supplied with each lifting point. For improved asset management and inspection efficiency, the PLBW Beta can also be supplied with the optional peTAG digital identification system, allowing fast access to product data via smartphone or computer.
