Manufactured to meet and exceed ASME B30.26 requirements, the S-421T wedge socket addresses ductility, identification, design factor, proof load, and temperature standards, as well as critical performance characteristics not covered by ASME B30.26, including fatigue life, impact resistance, and full material traceability. It is ABS type-approved for steel vessel classification, and certificates are available upon request, including API-2C certification options.
The socket features a cast steel basket, magnetic particle inspected individually, ensuring maximum structural integrity. The Terminators wedge system securely holds the tail or dead end of the wire rope in place, eliminating punch-out and fatigue failure. This system leaves the rope tail undeformed, enhancing longevity and safety.
