Description
The Crosby IPU10J Vertical Plate Lifting Clamp is a heavy-duty lifting clamp designed for lifting, turning, and transferring thicker steel plates and fabricated materials. This model features a larger jaw opening than the standard IPU10 clamp, making it suitable for handling thicker materials in demanding industrial environments.
Manufactured with a welded alloy steel body, the IPU10J clamp delivers high strength while maintaining a compact and durable design. Forged alloy steel components are incorporated where additional strength is required, ensuring dependable performance in heavy-duty lifting operations.
The clamp is designed to provide a full 180 turning range, allowing materials to be safely lifted from horizontal to vertical positions and lowered back again when required. This makes it particularly useful in fabrication environments where plates must be rotated during handling or processing.
A hinged hoisting eye allows the clamp to be positioned and lifted from virtually any direction. This design also allows the clamp to be used with multi-leg slings without side-loading, improving safety and flexibility during rigging operations.
The IPU10J clamp includes a lock-open and lock-closed mechanism with latch, allowing the operator to apply pretension to the material before lifting, and to safely release the load once the lifting operation is complete.
Each clamp is individually proof tested to two times the working load limit and supplied with certification to confirm performance. For easy identification and inspection, the Crosby IP logo, working load limit (WLL), and jaw opening capacity are permanently stamped on the clamp body.
To ensure full product traceability, every clamp is individually serialised, with the serial number and proof load test date stamped directly on the body. A user manual and proof test certificate are included with each clamp supplied.
The IPU10J clamp range offers working load limits from 0.5 tonnes up to 30 tonnes, with large jaw opening ranges designed for thicker steel plates. Maintenance and repair kits are available to ensure long service life and maintain safe operating performance.
Designed in accordance with EN 13155 and ASME B30.20 design factors, the Crosby IPU10J clamp provides a reliable and versatile lifting solution for demanding industrial plate handling applications.
