Description
The Crosby IP10H Vertical Plate Lifting Clamp is designed for handling very hard steel plates and fabricated components safely and efficiently. Built to withstand high-strength materials, this clamp is ideal for demanding industrial and fabrication applications where standard clamps may not be sufficient.
Constructed from a welded alloy steel body, the IP10H offers exceptional strength while maintaining a compact, easy-to-use design. Critical components are forged alloy steel, providing additional durability and resistance to deformation under high loads.
The IP10H model is suitable for very hard materials, with surface hardness ratings up to 472HV10 (450 HB). It features a fixed hoisting eye, allowing stable and secure lifting in vertical operations. The clamp also offers full 180 turning capability, enabling safe rotation from horizontal to vertical positions and back, facilitating material transfer and positioning.
For safety and precision, the clamp is equipped with a lock-open and lock-closed latch mechanism, allowing operators to pretension the material before lifting and safely release it after the lift.
Each IP10H clamp is individually proof tested to 2 the working load limit and supplied with certification to ensure compliance with safety standards. Crosby IP logos, working load limits, and jaw openings are permanently stamped on the clamp body, and each unit is serialised with proof load test date for full traceability. User manual and proof load certificate are included with every clamp.
The IP10H range provides working load limits from 0.5 tonnes to 6 tonnes, making it suitable for applications involving extremely hard steel plates. Maintenance and repair kits are available to ensure continued safe use.
Designed to meet EN 13155 and ASME B30.20 design factors, the IP10H clamp provides a high-strength solution for vertical plate lifting in challenging environments.
Safety & User Instructions
Verify working load limit (WLL) before lifting.
Ensure plate thickness fits within the jaw opening range.
Check clamp engagement before lifting.
Do not exceed rated WLL.
Minimum WLL is 5% of maximum WLL for the 0.5t model; 10% for all others.
For plates with hardness ?279HV10, only 5% of minimum WLL is required.
Inspect clamps regularly for wear, damage, or deformation.
Keep gripping surfaces free of oil, grease, or debris.
Use approved Crosby maintenance kits for replacements.
Follow proper lifting procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Recommended Applications
Hard steel plate lifting and positioning
Heavy-duty fabrication
Construction and industrial projects with high-strength materials
