The Pewag Winner Profilift PLAW Alpha Metric Thread Lifting Point is a premium-grade swivel lifting eye designed for maximum safety, flexibility and durability in demanding lifting applications. Engineered by Pewag to the highest standards, the PLAW Alpha is widely regarded as one of the most advanced rotating lifting points available for industrial, engineering and fabrication environments.
Featuring a 360° rotatable lifting point combined with a load ring that is loadable through a wide 130° range, the PLAW Alpha automatically aligns with the direction of pull. This significantly reduces bending moments, uneven loading and thread stress, improving both operational safety and service life. The load ring positioning is maintained by a replaceable and patented spring system, allowing the lifting point to be set at any required angle prior to loading.
The lifting screw is manufactured from high-strength grade 10.9 steel, 100% crack tested and finished with a chromate VI-free corrosion protection coating, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Each PLAW Alpha lifting point is clearly marked with its Working Load Limit (WLL), thread size and a unique serial number, ensuring full traceability and compliance with lifting regulations.
Pewag Winner Profilift PLAW Alpha lifting points offer an exceptional four-fold safety factor against breakage in all directions, providing peace of mind in complex lifting scenarios, including multi-leg lifts and inclined loading. Load capacities vary depending on application, number of lifting legs and angle of inclination, with detailed load tables supplied as an integral part of the operating manual.
Available in metric thread sizes from M8 to M48, the PLAW Alpha can be supplied with standard thread lengths, maximum thread lengths, or customised cut-to-length threads to suit specific material thicknesses and installation requirements. Custom and maximum thread versions are supplied complete with washer and nut.
For enhanced asset management and inspection control, the PLAW Alpha is also available with the optional peTAG ID chip, allowing instant access to product data, inspection records and traceability information via smartphone or computer.
