Description
The Crosby HR-125M Metric Swivel Hoist Rings are high-performance lifting points designed for demanding industrial lifting and rigging operations. Manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel, these hoist rings deliver exceptional strength, durability, and reliability across a wide range of lifting applications.
Designed with a 360 swivel and 180 pivot action, the HR-125M automatically aligns with the direction of the load. This flexibility helps minimise side loading and improves lifting safety when compared with traditional fixed lifting points or standard eye bolts. The design allows the hoist ring to operate at full working load limit (WLL) within its rated angular loading range, making it suitable for complex lifting configurations.
The HR-125M series is 100% individually proof tested to 2.5 times the working load limit and statistically magnetic particle inspected to ensure structural integrity. Full certification is supplied with each unit. For applications requiring additional inspection assurance, 100% magnetic particle inspection can be supplied on request at the time of order.
Each hoist ring is fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles at 1.5 times the working load limit, making it ideal for repeated lifting operations in industrial environments such as manufacturing, engineering, and heavy equipment installation.
The top washer is permanently stamped with both the working load limit and the recommended torque value, ensuring safe and correct installation. The washer is colour coded silver to easily identify metric threaded models. Every unit also includes a Product Identification Code (PIC) for full traceability, along with the Crosby name or CG and working load limit stamped directly into the product.
The supplied bolt is a Grade 12.9 alloy steel socket head cap screw manufactured to ISO 4762, ensuring high strength and reliable fastening. The bolt is secured using an E-clip with grooved threads, allowing the hoist ring to be easily disassembled for thorough inspection and maintenance. Replacement bolt kits are available where required.
The HR-125M range includes multiple bolt length options to suit different mounting depths and application requirements. All components feature a zinc plated yellow chromate finish for improved corrosion resistance.
Designed for use with ferrous workpieces only, these hoist rings meet or exceed the requirements of ASME B30.26, including identification, ductility, proof load, design factor, and temperature requirements. In addition, Crosby hoist rings are engineered to meet critical performance standards such as fatigue life, impact properties, and material traceability beyond those specified by ASME.
Available in metric sizes ranging from M8 through to M48, the HR-125M series provides working load limits from 0.40 tonnes up to 16.90 tonnes, with dual ratings based on 4:1 and 5:1 design factors.
Safety & User Instructions
Ensure the mounting surface is flat, clean, and capable of supporting the load.
Confirm the correct bolt length and thread engagement before installation.
Tighten the bolt to the recommended torque value stamped on the washer.
Ensure the hoist ring is free to swivel and pivot before lifting.
Do not exceed the specified working load limit (WLL).
Inspect all components regularly for wear, deformation, or corrosion.
Use only with ferrous materials as specified by the manufacturer.
Replace worn or damaged components immediately and use genuine replacement parts.
Always follow safe lifting practices and wear appropriate PPE.
