Description

The Crosby HR-125 UNC Swivel Hoist Rings are premium lifting points engineered for demanding industrial rigging and lifting applications. Manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel, these hoist rings provide exceptional strength, reliability, and durability in high-load environments such as manufacturing, construction, heavy engineering, and plant maintenance.

The HR-125 design incorporates a 360 swivel and 180 pivot mechanism, allowing the hoist ring to automatically align with the direction of the applied load. This feature reduces the risk of side loading and enables safe lifting even when the lifting direction changes. The hoist rings are designed to operate at full working load limit (WLL) within the specified angular loading range, making them suitable for complex lifting configurations.

Every HR-125 hoist ring is 100% individually proof tested to 2.5 times the working load limit, supplied with certification, and statistically magnetic particle inspected to verify structural integrity. Full 100% magnetic particle inspection can also be provided upon request for critical applications.

These hoist rings are fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles at 1.5 times the working load limit, ensuring reliable performance in repetitive lifting operations. Each unit also features a Product Identification Code (PIC) for complete material traceability, along with permanent markings showing the working load limit and the Crosby name or CG.

The top washer is permanently stamped with the working load limit and recommended torque value, ensuring proper installation and safe operation. Washers are colour coded red to easily identify UNC threaded models.

Each hoist ring includes a high-strength alloy steel socket head cap screw manufactured to ASTM A574, with threads designed to UNC standards. The bolt is secured with an E-clip and grooved thread system, allowing easy disassembly for inspection and maintenance. Replacement bolt kits are available if required.

Multiple bolt length options are available to accommodate different mounting depths and material types. Long bolts are designed for softer materials such as aluminium, while short bolts are recommended for ferrous materials such as steel or iron.

All components feature a zinc plated yellow chromate finish to provide increased resistance to corrosion in industrial environments.

The HR-125 series meets or exceeds the requirements of ASME B30.26, including identification, ductility, proof load, design factor, and temperature requirements. Additionally, Crosby hoist rings meet further critical performance requirements including fatigue life, impact resistance, and full material traceability.

Available in UNC bolt sizes from 5/16″ through to 3-1/2″, the Crosby HR-125 range offers working load limits from 0.36 tonnes up to 45.36 tonnes, providing a highly reliable lifting solution for both medium and heavy-duty applications.

Safety & User Instructions
Ensure the mounting surface is flat, clean, and capable of supporting the load.
Verify correct bolt length and thread engagement before installation.
Tighten the bolt to the recommended torque value stamped on the washer.
Confirm the hoist ring can rotate freely and align with the lifting direction.
Never exceed the specified working load limit (WLL).
Inspect hoist rings, bolts, and washers regularly for wear, deformation, or corrosion.
Use long bolts when installing into softer materials such as aluminium and short bolts for ferrous materials such as steel or iron.
Replace damaged or worn components immediately using genuine replacement parts.
Follow all applicable lifting regulations and use appropriate PPE.

Recommended Applications
Industrial lifting and rigging operations
Machinery installation and relocation
Manufacturing and heavy engineering environments
