Description
The Crosby IPU10H Vertical Plate Lifting Clamp is specifically engineered for the safe lifting, turning, and vertical transfer of materials with high surface hardness. Designed to handle materials with hardness levels up to 472HV10 (450 HB), the clamp is ideal for specialised lifting applications where standard plate clamps may not provide adequate grip.
Manufactured with a welded alloy steel body, the clamp offers exceptional strength while maintaining a compact and efficient design suitable for demanding industrial environments. Forged alloy steel components are incorporated where additional strength is required, ensuring long service life and dependable performance.
The clamp features a universal hoisting eye, allowing it to be positioned and lifted from multiple directions. This design enables the clamp to work effectively with single or multi-leg sling configurations without introducing side loading, improving safety and flexibility during lifting operations.
With a full 180 turning range, the IPU10H clamp allows plates and fabricated components to be lifted from horizontal to vertical positions and returned back to horizontal as required. This capability makes the clamp suitable for fabrication environments where materials need to be rotated or repositioned during handling.
The clamp includes a lock-open and lock-closed mechanism with latch, allowing operators to apply pretension to the material before lifting and release the clamp safely once the lifting operation is complete.
Every clamp is individually proof tested to two times the working load limit and supplied with certification to confirm compliance and performance. For identification and safety verification, the Crosby IP logo, working load limit (WLL), and jaw opening capacity are permanently stamped on the clamp body.
Each clamp is individually serialised, with the serial number and proof load test date stamped on the body for full traceability. A user manual and proof load test certificate are included with every clamp supplied.
The IPU10H clamp range offers working load limits from 0.5 tonnes to 6 tonnes, making it suitable for lifting hardened steel plates and other materials with high surface hardness. Maintenance and repair kits are available to support long-term serviceability.
Designed in accordance with EN 13155 and ASME B30.20 design factors, the Crosby IPU10H vertical lifting clamp provides a reliable lifting solution for specialised material handling applications.
Safety & User Instructions
Always verify the working load limit (WLL) before lifting.
Confirm the material hardness is within the specified clamp capability.
