The Pewag Winner Profilift PLAW Alpha UNC Thread Lifting Point is a high-performance swivel lifting eye engineered for safe, controlled lifting in applications where UNC threads are required. Designed and manufactured to Pewags exacting standards, this lifting point combines advanced safety features with exceptional flexibility, making it ideal for heavy-duty industrial, engineering and fabrication environments.
The PLAW Alpha features a 360° rotatable lifting point, allowing the lifting ring to rotate freely around the screw axis. In addition, the load ring is loadable across a wide 130° range, ensuring optimal alignment with the direction of pull. This significantly reduces side loading, bending stress and thread damage, helping to maximise safety and extend product lifespan. The load ring position is maintained by a replaceable and patented spring mechanism, enabling precise positioning before the lift begins.
Manufactured from high-strength grade 10.9 steel, the hexagonal special screw is fully replaceable, secured against loss, and 100% crack tested for maximum reliability. A chromate VI-free corrosion protection coating provides durable resistance to environmental exposure while meeting modern safety and environmental standards. Each lifting point is clearly marked with its Working Load Limit (WLL), thread size and a unique serial number, ensuring full traceability and compliance with lifting regulations.
The Pewag Winner Profilift PLAW Alpha is engineered with a four-fold safety factor against breakage in all directions, offering outstanding performance even in complex lifting scenarios involving inclined loads, multi-leg lifts or asymmetric loading. Load capacities vary depending on the lifting configuration, number of legs and angle of inclination, with comprehensive load tables supplied as an integral part of the operating manual.
This version of the PLAW Alpha is supplied with UNC threads ranging from 3/8″ to 1 1/2″, making it suitable for machinery, equipment and structures manufactured to imperial thread standards. Each unit is supplied ready for installation, with tightening torque values clearly defined to ensure correct and secure assembly.
For enhanced inspection control and asset management, the PLAW Alpha is also available with the optional peTAG ID chip, providing instant access to product identification, inspection data and documentation via smartphone or computer.
