The DALE Type A Unbraced Steel Mobile Lifting Gantry is a compact, versatile lifting frame designed for confined spaces and applications where unrestricted beam travel is essential.
Manufactured by DALE Lifting & Handling Specialists (UK), this gantry offers capacities from 500 kg to 2,000 kg, in a choice of six spans (2.5 – 5.0 m) and six heights (2.5 – 5.0 m).
Its unbraced design allows full trolley movement along the beam, while the mechanically welded construction can be quickly dismantled into three main parts for easy transport and storage.
Ideal for workshops, garages, factories, and yards, each unit is CE-marked, fully tested, and supplied with certification.

Description
The DALE Type A Mobile Steel Lifting Gantry is engineered for flexibility, strength, and portability in material-handling operations. Designed specifically for areas with restricted access or limited headroom, the unbraced design enables a hoist or trolley to travel freely along the full beam length — ensuring maximum lifting coverage without obstruction.
Available in working load limits (WLL) from 500 kg to 2,000 kg, the Type A range covers six spans (2.5 m to 5.0 m) and six heights under beam (2.5 m to 5.0 m), providing a practical lifting solution across a wide variety of environments.
Constructed from mechanically welded steel, each gantry can be dismantled into three main parts, allowing easy relocation or compact storage. The standard configuration includes white polyamide castors (up to 2 tonnes) for smooth movement and precise positioning.
Finished in RAL 1028 yellow polyurethane coating for corrosion protection, the gantry features a three-layer protective system and supports a maximum hoisting speed of 16 m/min and a trolley travel speed of 10 m/min.
Optional equipment includes manual or electric hoists, powered trolleys, lockable switches, cable reels, hot-dip galvanising, and custom colours for outdoor or specialised applications.
