The Thern Commander 2000 Series Portable Lifting Davit Crane (5PT20) is one of the largest and most capable cranes in the Commander range. Designed to deliver high lifting capacity combined with exceptional portability, this versatile davit crane provides a dependable lifting solution for demanding industrial and maintenance environments.
With a maximum working load limit (WLL) of up to 907 kg, the Commander 2000 is ideal for lifting pumps, motors, machinery components, and maintenance equipment across industries including water and wastewater treatment, marine operations, manufacturing, construction, and oil and gas facilities. The crane�s maximum hook height of approximately 97 inches (2463 mm) when used with a pedestal base allows it to easily lift loads over walls, railings, tanks, and other obstacles.
The crane is designed to lift, lower, and rotate loads smoothly through a full 360� range, allowing operators to position loads precisely and safely. For enhanced handling of heavier loads, an optional roller ball bearing and 12-position rotation lock system can be added. This feature improves crane rotation under load and helps stabilise loads during placement or unloading.
A telescoping boom with adjustable operating angles allows operators to tailor the lifting reach to suit specific tasks. This flexibility provides excellent reach and control when lifting equipment in restricted or obstacle-filled environments.

Options include spur gear hand winches, worm gear hand winches, and electric winches with various motor types, including AC, DC, pneumatic, or hydraulic drives.
Installation flexibility is further enhanced by the availability of multiple mounting base options, including pedestal, flush-mount, wall-mount, and mobile wheel-base configurations. Optional base extensions increase crane height by 381 mm without affecting the crane�s rated lifting capacity, allowing additional clearance when lifting over obstacles.
