Description
The Thern First Mate 5PF5-M1 Portable Davit Crane is a compact and efficient lifting solution designed for maintenance operations, water treatment facilities, construction sites, rooftops, silos, and marine environments. Engineered for reliability and ease of use, this lightweight davit system provides safe and convenient lifting of loads up to 385 kg while remaining highly portable for multi-location use.
This model is supplied as a complete lifting system, including the 5PF5 davit crane, M4022PB-CE manual spur gear hand winch, galvanised wire rope, load hook, and the 5BP5 pedestal base. The system is designed for straightforward operation and quick deployment in environments where fixed lifting equipment is impractical.
The First Mate 5PF5 davit features a fixed boom length with three adjustable working angles, allowing operators to choose the optimal lifting position depending on load requirements and workspace constraints. These positions provide different safe working loads depending on the reach of the boom, enabling versatile operation while maintaining safety and control.
Designed with portability in mind, the crane incorporates quick-release pins and snap fastenings, allowing it to be assembled, removed, or relocated within minutes without tools. The davit can also be folded for easy transport and storage, making it ideal for maintenance teams who need lifting capability across multiple work areas.
The included manual spur gear hand winch features a zinc-plated transmission for corrosion resistance and smooth lifting operation. It is fitted with 4.8 mm diameter galvanised steel wire rope measuring 13.7 metres, terminated with a durable load hook for secure lifting operations.
The davit crane is finished with a durable red powder-coated coating, providing protection against environmental conditions and extending the service life of the equipment. The pedestal base mount is also powder-coated and designed to provide a stable mounting point while allowing the davit arm to rotate 360, offering maximum flexibility when positioning loads.
With its lightweight construction, ergonomic design, and reliable lifting performance, the Thern First Mate 5PF5-M1 is particularly suited to water and wastewater maintenance tasks such as pump removal, as well as general maintenance, construction lifting, and industrial service work.
The crane is CE marked and supplied with a Declaration of Conformity, ensuring compliance with European safety standards. Thern also supports the product with a 2-year standard warranty, reflecting the quality and durability expected from professional lifting equipment.
For applications requiring additional flexibility, optional accessories such as additional base sockets, base extensions, additional wire ropes, headache balls, and rotational locks are available to customise the system to specific lifting environments.
Compact, reliable, and easy to deploy, the Thern First Mate 5PF5-M1 Portable Davit Crane provides an economical lifting solution where mobility, simplicity, and dependable performance are essential.
