The Thern Ensign 5PA5-M1 Portable Davit Crane is a compact and highly portable lifting solution designed to handle taller loads and obstacles commonly encountered in industrial maintenance environments. Unlike standard portable davit cranes, the Ensign 500 series features a longer mast and extended boom design, allowing it to achieve a maximum hook height of up to 2565 mm when mounted on the pedestal base. This additional lifting height enables operators to clear safety rails, access covers, guard barriers, and other obstacles during lifting operations while maintaining smooth load control.

The system is supplied as a complete lifting package, including the 5PA5 powder-coated davit crane, M4022PB-CE spur gear manual hand winch, 13.7 m galvanised steel wire rope with load hook, and the 5BP5 pedestal base mount. The crane and base feature a durable red powder-coated finish, providing reliable protection against general industrial wear and environmental exposure.

The crane arm features multiple adjustable boom positions, allowing operators to vary the lifting radius to suit different load requirements. Each position provides a different lifting capacity, ensuring safe operation across a variety of lifting scenarios.
