The Camlok® CX Hinged Vertical Plate Clamp is designed specifically for heavy-duty and side-loading applications, making it one of the most robust and versatile vertical plate clamps in the Camlok range. Engineered for demanding industrial environments, it safely handles the lifting, turning, and rotation of structural steel plates, hot-rolled sections, and fabricated components.

With a Working Load Limit (WLL) from 150 kg up to 10,000 kg, the CX is built for exceptional strength. Its construction includes a reinforced upper mouth plate and a heavy-duty hook ring, enabling it to tolerate controlled side-loading, an essential requirement when handling angled or awkwardly positioned steel plates.

The CX clamp allows for 180° rotation, permitting safe movement from horizontal to vertical lifting and back again. It is also designed to turn vertically racked plates through 90°, thanks to the integrated lifting eye and link system. Its robust construction and ability to handle lateral load forces make it suitable for applications where other vertical clamps may not be appropriate.

When used with a two-leg chain sling, the CX clamp provides enhanced load stability and secure plate handling without requiring a spreader beam. Manufactured from high-tensile steel, the clamp offers reliable grip, strength and longevity. All parts are service-friendly and easily replaceable, although repairs must only be performed by trained personnel.

The Camlok CX clamp is compliant with a 4:1 design factor and falls within Product Group I2, ensuring full alignment with industry safety expectations. It is suitable for use on materials with surface hardness up to Brinell 300 / HRC 30.
