The Mezz Barrier Hi-Gate Low Headroom Universal Safety Pallet Gate – Custom Built provides a fully open-top loading zone with unlimited load height, ideal for sites with reduced ceiling height or where loads need to be lifted by forklift or hoist. Custom-built to your required inside width (up to 2000 mm) and inside depth (up to 4000 mm), it ensures continuous fall protection and conforms to BS EN ISO 14122-3:2016. Description
The Mezz Barrier Hi-Gate Low Headroom Universal Safety Pallet Gate – Custom Built is an advanced safety loading solution designed specifically for mezzanines, hoist openings, scaffold platforms, teagle openings, and other elevated working areas where traditional pivot-over gates are unsuitable.
With its open-top design, the Hi-Gate allows unlimited load height, making it ideal for exceptionally tall pallets, suspended loads, or oversized materials. The unique scissor-action mechanism lifts the gate to one side, enabling operation in areas with restricted headroom and minimal working depth.
Unlike conventional up-and-over gates, the Hi-Gate does not extend beyond the mezzanine edge in either open or closed position. This significantly reduces collision risk with rising loads and ensures safe operation in confined spaces.
An anti-slam damper is fitted as standard to prevent sudden or uncontrolled gate movement, enhancing operator safety. The system can be configured with a left- or right-hand mechanism position, and the optional asymmetric edge gate allows the gate to clear adjacent handrails, positioning it closer to the platform edge for optimal forklift loading.
Constructed in either galvanised steel or safety-yellow thermoplastic-coated steel, the Hi-Gate offers exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and a long service life. Every system is custom built to your required inside width (up to 2.0 m) and inside depth (up to 4.0 m).
