Green Pin® Locking Clamp ROV Sling Shackle – GPROVSL, Grade 8 Polar Alloy Steel Subsea Sling Shackle
GRP-GPROVSL
The Green Pin® Locking Clamp ROV Sling Shackle – GPROVSL is a Grade 8 polar alloy steel shackle engineered for subsea lifting and ROV release operations. Its increased bow radius enhances sling performance, reduces wear on ropes, and allows lighter ropes to lift heavy loads.
Designed for increased visibility underwater, the white-painted body and green-painted pin ensure durability and safe operation. Its powerful locking system guarantees that the load remains secure until intentionally released.

Description
The GPROVSL Locking Clamp ROV Sling Shackle is purpose-built for subsea applications where precise and reliable handling is critical. Designed from Grade 8 polar alloy steel, quenched and tempered, this shackle provides exceptional strength, ductility, and resistance to cold temperatures.
The shackle’s wider bow radius improves sling efficiency, reduces rope wear, and allows operators to lift heavy loads using lighter ropes, ultimately saving on operational costs. Its locking clamp pin ensures loads are safely retained until intended release, making it perfect for ROV deployment and subsea release systems.
With a minimum breaking load of 5× W.L.L., the GPROVSL shackle is built to withstand the demanding –20°C to +200°C offshore environment. Full CAD support and certification (2.1, 3.1, MTC, DoC) are available for engineering, compliance, and planning purposes.
