Description
The Green Pin Polar® Heavy Duty Bow Shackle GPPOLHDFN is purpose-built for heavy lifting in polar and low-temperature conditions. Manufactured from Grade 8 quenched and tempered alloy steel, this shackle delivers outstanding performance, strength, and safety even at –40°C (–40°F).
Its triple safety system — comprising a split pin, safety bolt, and fixed nut — makes it the perfect choice for dynamic loads or vibration-exposed environments, such as offshore platforms, polar construction, and heavy marine operations. The fixed nut assembly is drilled through both the nut and pin and secured with bolts and Nord-Lock® wedge-locking washers, ensuring maximum joint integrity under shock or vibration.
Compliant with ASME B30.26, and supported by a wide range of certifications (2.1, 2.2, 3.1, MTC, LROS, MPI, US, CE), the GPPOLHD FN ensures traceability and quality assurance for critical lifting applications. The silver-painted body and green-painted pin allow for easy identification, and models from 120t to 150t W.L.L. are available.
