The Crosby G-2140 Alloy Bolt Type Anchor Shackle sets the industry benchmark for high-capacity lifting performance and safety assurance. Manufactured from forged and quenched alloy steel (2–300 metric tons) or cast alloy steel (400 metric tons), this Grade 8 shackle delivers exceptional strength and toughness for the most demanding applications.

Each shackle is permanently marked with its Working Load Limit, ensuring clear traceability in the field. Sizes 2–400 metric tons are available with alloy bows and bolts, precision-engineered for fatigue resistance and consistent load performance.

Finishes vary by size, with mechanically or hot-dip galvanized and Dimetcoted coatings providing superior corrosion protection. Shackles are approved for operation in temperatures from -40°F (-40°C) to 400°F (204°C), and can meet DNV impact requirements of 42 Joules at -20°C (-4°F).

For sizes 200 metric tons and above, shackles are serialized, chemically certified, and magnetic particle inspected, offering full traceability and quality assurance. Optional certification is available to ABS, DNV, Lloyds, or other global lifting standards upon request.

Complying with ASME B30.26 and Federal Specification RR-C-271H, the G-2140 series also meets additional performance requirements for impact resistance and material traceability not covered by standard regulations.
